The process of health systems strengthening depends fundamentally on the ability of in country organizations to learn over time; adapt to emerging challenges; and optimize interactions with citizens, communities and other organizations to reach health systems goals.
The component of Health System Strengthening is structured around the WHO framework that describes health systems in terms of six core components or “building blocks”: service delivery, health workforce, health information systems, access to essential medicines, financing and leadership/governance.
In 2019 CEDCOW equally carried out a one year project of SRHR & HIV/AIDS under the sponsorship of Amplify Change with theme, “Empowering Community Based Organizations to reduce stigma and discrimination on Key Population in the South West Region of Cameroon.
The project equally trained 10 participants each from 5 health organizations in a 3 days’ workshop on coaching, mentoring and field demonstration. The aim of this was to empower health services providers to defend, support and sympathize with
key population and support them to access HIV services.
The project trained, supported and empowered 30 participants selected from key population groups, rights organizations, and human rights defenders to acquire relevant skills, knowledge about key population rights especially access to HIV services and care.
